These images are meant to look like abstract expressionist paintings and not photographs of what can be considered urban blight. They emphasize the 2D quality of a painting and take away the 3D quality most photos have. hey also take on a collage affect as graffiti artist work with and against one another building up surfaces over a period of time, changing with the addition of more or the removal of the graffiti.

These surfaces take a month or so to create and are created by the interaction of different people in a city. These surfaces also are temporary and always changing with the continuous interaction of the city.
